Located in Orinda, less than 30 minutes from San Francisco, the Wilder subdivision is 1,600 acres nestled in a secluded valley and surrounded by hundreds of acres of preserved open space consisting of various ecosystems, from lush lowlands to rocky ridges. Wilder features custom homes, a swim center, a variety of sports fields, walking trails, and is home to a diverse community of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, foxes, rabbits, barn owls, and field mice.
Wilder’s plan calls for the development of 245 single-family homes, with the vast majority of this land — about 1,300 acres — to be preserved and restored as native and recreational open space. Kaz & Associates has worked with the Wilder project since 2007 to establish and build a storm water management program, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations, while also working to preserve the natural resources in the Wilder community for current and future generations to enjoy.
Kaz immediately set their sights on establishing protocol and a storm water program, from top to bottom, that offers a variety of cost-effective solutions and services that has helped preserve the natural landscape of the Wilder community and to maintain environmental compliance through the various phases of construction. Kaz & Associates continues to work closely with the Wilder project in order to develop site-specific plans for all future construction activities.
